During her tenure as Town Clerk and Acting HR Manager for the Town of Loxahatchee Groves, Lakisha Burch led significant improvements in municipal operations, impacting a community of approximately 3,355 residents. Her leadership encompassed a comprehensive range of responsibilities, including agenda preparation, meeting coordination, election administration, financial reporting, records management, and human resources. She played a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks while enhancing efficiency and effectiveness in municipal operations.
Lakisha’s commitment to professional development and mentorship in municipal administration was evident through her active participation in leadership roles within professional organizations. She served as the Southeast Director for the Florida Association of City Clerks (2018–2020) and as President of the Palm Beach County Municipal Clerks Association (2021–2022). Her dedication to fostering transparency, accountability, and excellence in local government administration contributed to the advancement of municipal governance practices in the region.
